- About me
I am currently a fifth grade teacher in the city of Syracuse. I have 3 grown sons, 2 grandsons and a granddaughter on the way. I originally started crafting with stained glass about 10 years ago. Six years ago I moved onto fused glass jewelry and beading, which I have been working on fever since. I am very interested in creating my own beads and have taken a couple of classes bead making with torches. Even though I have been working with beads and glass for several years, I still consider myself a beginner. I love designing and making jewelry and hope to perfect my style, skill and creativity in the next couple of years.
- Experience and Creativity
I have been working on using a kiln to create glass and metal pieces. The most challenging
thing I am doing presently is learning how to make my own beads with a torch. It takes a lot
of time and practice neither of which I have right now.
- Hobbies and Interests
I love bird watching and have designed a few of our bird houses. My one passion (besides jewelry) in the summer is gardening. I am constantly digging to rearrange, add or move things around.
- Fields of Creativity
I am amazed at the level of creativity I see at fairs and shows these days. Although I would like to excel in the area of glass and jewelry, I love making flower arrangements, wooden keepsake boxes, photo albums and anything having to do with sea shells.
- Favorite Movies and Books
Lots of favorites. Harlan Coben my favorite author, but I just finished the Twighlight series. I love to read and if I can't read, I'll watch a movie.
