- About me
A little over a year ago I started beading. Due to a back problem and several operations, I had a lot of time on my hands.
And rather than just laying there, feeling sorry for myself, I decided to use my time for something I could enjoy in spite of all my problems. It helped me to forget.
Unfortunately by now, I am addicted to it.
But it's an addiction I don't mind at all. - Experience and Creativity
I like to try different techniques and don't want to pin me down to anything in particular.
- Hobbies and Interests
Reading, sealing and musicals (as a spectator only)

Kitty
What a cute cat picture. Are those crystals in the shell?
Marsha
Yes, my cat's way of helping
Yes, my cat's way of helping me out. The funny thing is, the 'grandmother' of my cat was called Kitty.

Good Helper!
That is funny - the grandmother was called kitty. What is this one's name? And your dog is so cute too.
I love animals. I have a cat too. Sadly, my dog passed away recently. I miss her so much.
It is still very, very difficult to accept.
But your "crystal cat"
and dog are so darling,
Here's a picture of my cat. she's very, very shy and afraid of everything, except me. "Scaredy cat"
Best wishes,
Marsha
Catname
This cat's name is 'Pruts'. It's Flemisch for something very small. Unfortunatly she no longer is. She grew into a rather fat cat. But she is very nice and only now just jumped of my lap. She's 5.
My dog is called Roy, a boy obviously, and he's 11. I'm sorry about your dog. They can be great company. I would miss him very much and I can imagine how you must be feeling. I hope she did not suffer. What was her name?
Your cat is cute to. She (or he?) is the spitting immage
of my cat's 'brother'. He lives with my daughter and her husband.
All the best

Hi Beady-Eyes
Pruts is now BIG-pruts. My cat is female. She's now almost 12 years old. --Roy - that's a good name for him. He's cute. So...my cat has a 'twin brother' - she'll be glad to know.
My dog's name was "Happy" - and she was! Always happy and a good dog. A black lab; she was only 10 years old, but they say it's normal for bigger dogs to live only 10 or 11 years. I was not ready for it. She was my true heart companion - whatever that means. Here's her picture when she was 4 or 5. The most beautiful lab in the world
Are you working on a design right now? What is your favorite jewelry to make?
Marsha
design
You are right. If the picture is anything to go by, your dog looks very good natured. She looks wonderfull.
And as for a design, I'm in the middle of an experiment. I have no idea what the outcome will be. I found it on a Belgian site and I want to try and make a simular necklace, same style but with diferent components and beadingmaterials, and SW-crystals. It's bound to be a lot of work but I'm looking forward to the endresult.
My favorite jewelry is a necklace, long, short, very elegant or with very big beads, it doesn't matter.
What about you?
Beady-Eyes
Bedankt, thank you, regarding my dog.
I started a new message thread so our messages would stop getting so skinny. Good idea, yes?
I'm happy for you working on your experiment, I always have such satisfaction when I find something I want to work on.
Right now I am trying to finish making the "waters" for those little vintage SW fishes I found. Did you see them in the forum when I posted a picture of them? Very cute. At first I was just going to do wavy wire and put water-colored crystals. Then I got the Bright idea (more work) to have the water reflect a rising sunrise. I did that, now I have the challenge of where to put the fish.
My favorite jewelry to make would be bracelets and necklaces, and earrings.
here's a picture. Please let me know if you would prefer that I DO NOT put pictures in these messages - I just think it's fun and easier than explaining.
Send me a pcture of your work in progress - if you're comfortable with that.
Thanks for sharing! This is fun.
Marsha
Graag gedaan (you're welcome)
'I started a new message thread so our messages would stop getting so skinny. Good idea, yes?
'
Your sentence, and here I show my Belgian roots because I don't really understand what you mean by this. Do you mean the fact that you change the subject from animals and pets to what this site is actually about?
I like the fact that you looked up my Flemish words. It's funny.
It's indeed a good idea to put pictures in, it saves endless explaining, often without result. I like your project. It looks like a lot of fun. And if I can make my necklace work, I will keep you informed through pictures. I welcome any advice I can get if I get stuck and any picture is worth a thousand words.
You wrote about the forum. I must admit that I'm a bit scared about that. I don't really know how to go about it and I'm afraid that my knowledge of English might not be up to scratch to converse there. Maybe you can explain to me how this works?
Anyway, keep up the good work. You have some very wonderful designs. I'm looking forward to see more.

Graag gedaan & Bedankt
The reason I started the new "message thread" was to make more space for us to type. When we press "reply" the space gets smaller. I was NOT doing it to change the subject of our conversation - never.
You understand now. Yes?
I look forward to seeing a progress photo of your necklace. Actually, I wish you woud send a photo now, That would be fun. I think you have learned many good beading techinques in the short time that you have been beading. I, too, have been beading a short time. So much to learn!
I am still a little shy of the forum. I've only been signed up to CYS since June. Your English is very good. You can always start by reading and observing what's going on. Then, if you want, you can participate, if it is something that you are interested in. Your English is very good and it is very easy to ocmmunicte with you.
I don't know what the time dfference is from Southern Utah to Belgium but it must be late there. It's 1:30 in the afternoon here.
Looking forward to more talking and crystal pictues!
Marsha
changing message thread
I do understand now. I didn't mean this the wrong way. I would have understood if you meant it the way I said before. It would be all right too.
I wish I could send you a picture right now but my camera is in the shop. I don't know what I did wrong, but it refuses all service. It will be another week before I get it back. But the minute I do, I'll send you a picture. I to like this communicating. You make it very easy and comfortable. Thank you for your encouraging words and advise about the forum. I will try it out.
I like the idea that you too are rather a novice to it all. Although you wouldn't notice by the look of your projects.
As for the time, it's now 22h. Not all that late. At least, not for me.
Hope to read and see more of you and your work.
