Ive been making jewelry for roughly 7 years. Professionally Ive been doing it for 3, I never thought this was a direction I would take as I always viewed making and designing jewelry a hobby. It slowly evovled to become something I took more and more seriously. Ive competed in the Create Your Own Style contest for all of my proffesional years, and will continue to participate for years to come as it is a contest I find to be challenging. Design has always been of a great interest to me, both of my parents being in the architectural field. Most (if not all) of my inspiration comes from great architects like, Alvar Aalto, Frank Lloyd Wright and Frank Gehry.
I am currently the designer for 3 jewelry collections (All based here in Montreal, QC) One of which being my own jewelry collection which has 5 stores carrying the line in both Montreal and Toronto. The other 2 collections were done fo clients who wanted to expand their business into accessories, both collections released by the end of 2008.

I have studied Fine Arts at Dawson College and am continuing my studies at Concordia University in Design Art; a program that covers all diciplines of design in both 2D and 3D.

Hi Aria...your Modern Mermaid piece is certainly a "stand out" piece of jewellery and congratulations on your success with it in the 2007 CYS Contest. Your profile is very interesting and I love the way you are so inspired by architecture & nature - FLW is also one of my favourite architects of all time.
