About me

I have been beading about 20 years, making my first pieces in my high school art class. I love teaching beginners to bead, I try to make complicated designs using basic stitches so my students feel like they have really accomplished something. I work as an associate editor at a beading magazine, which allows me to have a constant stream of contact with creative people.

Experience and Creativity

I am mostly self taught, I worked through all the stitches, but I find it very rewarding and relaxing now to take classes when I want to learn something new, like metal clay.

Hobbies and Interests

Aside from beading, I love spending time with my kids, two boys.

Fields of Creativity

I mainly only express my creativity by designing with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS crystals, pendants, and round stones. I would love to incorporate some of the more interesting and unusual shapes into my beading.

I like writing, but only for me, and usually only in my journal. It is a mix of feelings, ideas, sketches, and it's a rather odd little conversation with myself, but I really miss it if I don't have time for to do it.

Favorite Movies and Books

I almost love any movie that tells a good story. I despise movies that are frustrating and make me feel like I'm worse off for having wasted my precious time watching it, but movies like that seldom get watched all the way through anyway. I can always take it out and watch Emma, PS I love you, or The Notebook. I love to read, and enjoy just about anything, but it is seriously the last thing I have time to do.

Happy to be here

I was doing a demo for Swarovski at the Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and found out about the community. I have a slight obsession with crystals, so I thought I might fit in here! Thanks for the warm welcome, I really appreciate it.

Absolutely you fit in for sure!

Wonderful work...you must tell us all about it.  I am oogling over the necklace.  Is your clasp incorporated into  the front?

Come on over to the Forums and let us know what you were demo'ing.   BTW, we all suffer from what our Val calls OCD...Obsessive Crystal Disease.

Hi Anna

I love your necklace and haven't I seen it at the back of the Bead & Button Magazine as a show piece for FMG??

What a small world - a friend of mine and I were talking about what technique you must have used to make those crystal beads Cool.

Stunning piece - I love it !
