About me
Some of you probably know me from my entry in the 2006 Swarovski Design Contest--"Crystallized Cattleya"--which came in 2nd place in the Amateur Category. As for my background in bead work I've been beading roughly 15 years with the last 12 being heavily into pursuing innovation in weaving Swarovski beads, particularly in 3-Dimensional work. I'm completely self-taught, more by necessity than choice, and I adore doing beadwork, especially with anything involving *sparkles*. You can see why I'm a perfect match with Swarovski.
Experience and Creativity
My work with 3-Dimensional work with crystals started after I saw an article in Bead & Button about David Chatt and Right-Angle-Weave, and I realized how perfectly bicones fit together, and wove my first cube out of crystal beads. I decided if I made one corner green, the middle red, and the other corner dark red it would look like a rose when strung diagonally, and got excited and showed my mother my "rose". She was mildly excited but asked "Can't you add some petals?" I indignantly replied "No, that's impossible!" However, her challenge stuck like a thorn in my side and I spent most of the night trying to prove her wrong . . . only she was, of course, right. The funny thing was that in the end making petals was easy, but during that night I improvised two variations of RAW that--when combined with tradtional RAW--create a different way of increasing and decreasing while still keeping the beads in loops of 4. An obsession was born. I now *always* listen to my mother.

Thank you for your post about how to make money when disabled

Thank you so much for the information encouragement you gave me in the post where I asked for ideas. I have literally thousands of dollars of beads, crystals, wire, etc. I just need to get moving, get things made, and then get them out there for people to see.
Your pieces are great!
