About me

I work full time as a Director of Student Services for a University in Florida and every chance I get, I design and make jewelry utilizing crystals and semi-precious stones. I have a web site under the name of creativebeadingbydesign.com and I am trying to sell my jewelry in a store I created in Etsy. My daughter helps me sell my crystal bracelets through her high school friends and teachers.

Experience and Creativity

I handpainted clothing and sold at home shows in the early 90's. Owned a successful basket company for 4 years in the mid 90's. In addtition, I handpainted wood and hand stamped and embossed cards and sold at crafters outlets and craft shows in the late 90's. (Had to get a real job in 2000 to pay the bills). I just happen to go into a bead store in 2006, took a few classes and started designing and creating and actually selling my jewelry within the first year. If it were not for two teens about to go to college, I would quit my job and do this full time TODAY!

Hobbies and Interests

I love to create art of any kind as you can see from my experience. Since a child, color and creating colorful artwork in any medium interested me. I have tried just above every medium. Sewing, knitting, crochet, counted cross stitch, creative memories with photos, hand painting clothes, hand stamping cards, hand painting wood, and now making jewelry.
