About me: Swarovski crystals are my only pallette and where previously I just designed with bicones, I've been so inspired by the asymmetrical shapes and pendants that I'm using these also now. I have also been exploring other CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements such as Sew On Stones and trimming. I'm really enjoy the creative sharing process we will engage in here.

Experience and Creativity: I was a semi-finalist in the first Create-Your-Style competition in 2005 and I won 1st Place in 2006's Amateur Division. I've had one project in Step by Step Beads, and am developing more, I recently made a contact with a museum that wants to show some of my pieces (and sell others in the gift shop) and I am developing kits and teaching plans for some of my designs. I taught my first CYS Workshop in Tucson 2009, and have been honored with the CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements Ambassador designation.
Hobbies and Interests: Traveling...I've always been an eager traveler. My husband and I went to Austria in October 2007.
Fields of Creativity: Like most of us here (I imagine) I have always had one or two creative projects ongoing. I didn't have a medium, though, that could be used for all my various fashion and home accessory ideas until I found Swarovski crystal beads. Now I can use them with sewing, crochet and knitting, paper and bookmaking, tassell making, candles, etc.
Favorite Movies and Books: #1 All time Favorite Movie: Breakfast at Tiffany's Other favs that I will stop everything to watch: Empire of the Sun, Love Actually, My Fair Lady, Same Time Next Year, Sleepless in Seattle, Citizen Kane, Sophie's Choice, Out of Africa, Chariots of Fire, Paulie, The Accidental Tourist. Just about anything with Audrey Hepburn or Meg Ryan (Paris when it Sizzles, Joe vs. the Volcano) Books: All the Harry Potters, Anne Tyler, Isak Dinesen, F. Scott Fitzgerald and John Steinbeck as authors, Biographies as a genre. Fashion (history, etc.) jewelry, beading and metalwork books, of course.

Tucson, from the heart

Last year I wrote about the CREATE YOUR STYLE in TUCSON experience, the showroom, the classes, the parties, and by all means they were there again this year, just as sparkling and exciting. This year, I want to write about something else that happens in Tucson. Something that happens to my heart. It starts the moment I arrive. Maybe it is the dryness of the air, the golden sunsets and layered blues of the sky, I feel energized, all the waiting is over and the magic is happening and I want to breathe it all in.

Swarovski's Sparkling HQ

OK, it is confession time. For about as long as I have been using Swarovski Elements (just about 9 years now) I have wanted to visit the Swarovski North America Headquarters in Rhode Island, and I've tried to imagine what it would look like. Would this center of sparkle be an ordinary industrial-type office building (no, no it couldn't be) or would it drip crystal sparkles at every turn? (yes, yes, in my imagination all the employees are wearing the most amazing jewelry...crystal from toes to ears -- a virtual crystal world).

CRYSTALLIZE Your Home

As a child I saw the film Pollyanna and one scene made a permanent impression. Pollyanna and her friend are caught by the neighborhood "boogey man" spying about his house. No Tucson for me this year.

Howdy, Nope, We wont make it to Tucson this year, maybe next time. I went thru the crystals Quick!! hhhaha lots of cell phone orders and all. It helped alot on my orders. I did get to travel to Berlin to meet Ayano and Tobi of Bling-My-Thing.com, what a fabulous place!! I hope to travel again to Europe one day, one day! That's Right! you got h Trip to Austria!!
