About me

I am a bead artist living in Dubai,  United Arab Emirates. I bead anything and everything, from 3 dimensional flowers, to pictures, to jewellery to just recently fascinators and head-pieces. I use all sorts of weaving, peyote, wire wrapping, bead embroidery and looming.

Experience and Creativity

I've been beading since 2002 when I had tons of seed beads which I used in a Maltese Craft I had got tired of making (it involved beading round Holy Pictures and how many Holy pictures can one person have??!!!!) Anyway I then started teaching myself 3d flowers, bonsai trees, bracelets, then came the necklaces and on and on!

Hobbies and Interests

We adore having animals around us and currently we have 3 dogs, 3 giant tortoises and a medium sized greaca, an African grey and a Cockatoo (parrots). My big love is of course my beading and I'm happiest when I have all the beasts (not the tortoises - they're in the garden) in my studio next to me while I work. I used to love cooking (I'm a Cordon Bleu cook) especially Indian and Mexican Hot stuff! However, I don't cook as much, if any, nowadays because we have a live-in housekeeper who loves to cook for us.

Favorite Movies and Books

I read a book every 2 days or so and I just love Thrillers and anything with a court case in it. Same for movies although we are both addicted to Grey's Anatomy and Boston Legal and can't wait for the next season of each to come out! I also really, really enjoyed watching the entire series of Six Feet Under every day. Somebody had the entire set and kindly gave it to me!!
