Description

40mm Crystal Silver night Helios pendant.  This is the larger Helios pendant, I was surprised to find it very light weight.  I drilled a hole in the top of the desing for the loop of the earring to go through.

how did you drill a hole

how did you drill a hole without cracking and shattering the crystal? What drill/drill bits did you use?

very carefully

That is the fun with trying do drill holes. Sometimes it does break and there went $20.00 you paid for that crystal. I use a combination of things, I do not want to give away all my secrets. I use water, diamond coated drill bits, and carbide drill bits. I have been drilling holes into crystals for over 7 years now. I still break some crystals, but it is much fewer now.
