Boudoir Beautiful Burgundy and Pearls
This is my entry for the competition of Boudoir Beautiful. Although I love rhinestones and making romantic jewellery, this was quite difficult as a process. I always have like absolutely crazy ideas at the beginning and I always end up with quite modest version of it. I just finished it and I feel unsure what to think of it.
But I must admit that CYS pearls are like heaven, and the color of burgundy...omg, it's gorgeous! It has this velvety look, full of mystery and untold tales.
Anyway, as you can see I used portion of rhinestones and pearls. In the center I put a big Burgundy stone. Every metal filigree plate has an extra plate to cover the wire ends and make everything look neat from other side. I must have strung the pearls like hundreds of times, I didn't get the right tension, and when I did I somehow missed couple of pearls that had rolled under some other jewellery that was nearby... Photographing was real headache

Having entered the same competition I can sympathize with the amount of work that goes into these designs - I only just made the deadline cos I had to redo bits of mine so many times!!! Love your design & hope you do well in the competion - hope we both get to the finals!!
