Materials and Tools
Step 1
Firstly, consider the size of your bracelet. 11 stones connected with 6.8mm diameter jump rings will make a finished bracelet length of 8″ or 20cms. You can experiment with the number of stones or the size of the jump rings to shorten or lengthen your bracelet. Gather your tools and materials ready to begin.
Step 2
With the opening of the jump ring at 12 O’clock, grip either side of the jump ring with a pair of snipe nose pliers and flat nose pliers. Open with a twist motion, making sure the opening is wide enough to place the stone over it.
Step 3
Place a stone over the opening of the jump ring along with one end of the toggle clasp and close the jump ring by reversing the twist motion.
Step 4
Open another jump ring and add the next stone, making sure they lie the same way if you are working with a coated or foil backed stones. Close the jump ring by reversing the twist motion. Connect all stones together in this way until you reach the desired length.
Step 5
Once you have reached the desired length attach the other end of the toggle clasp to the last jump ring.
