Step 1
If I hadn't fractured my ankle 6 weeks ago, I would have gone to Melbourne and worn this stunning necklace to the Melbourne Cup. This is so beautiful, perfect for our spring weather. The necklace is a solid soldered piece of assorted shapes. I have used large ovals, pears, navettes and rounds. The 2 large ovals are turquoise howlite cabochons, 1 is slightly lighter than the other, there are also 2 pears underneath. I have mixed Swarovski crystals in the colours of golden shadow, aurora borealis, clear, caribbean blue opal and aquamarine. The solid piece is then connected with bud & leaf style pieces which are then soldered to clear crystal cupchain. I have made this quite a long necklace, the length is 12 1/2 inches with an adjuster chain and crystal aquamarine navette on the end.
The length of the solid pendant is 2 3/4 inches long and 5 1/4 inches wide. The necklace is gold plated, prong set and soldered by hand.
This is a one off piece, to be treasured and adored.
