suggest a new cristal color

Hello to you all. Pleased to joind the community. I registered because I am not really a Swarovski fan. But this could change, as it is because I can't find the colour I want. I wish to have a colour called "anise" (a bit a Frenchy name yes). I would like to suggest Swarovski to make "white opal anise" cristal beads. My dream. Jonquil and lime are too yellow, kaki and olivine too dark, erinite and other greens too minty... no Anise. No light peridot or just light green. I would like to ask for this. Who should I turn to?

Many thanks!

Hello

Well you could order some 10,000 of the same bead and they will create your colour for you.  Then you can sell them off to whoever wants to share with you - just a thought Cool.

I want a metallic red...

Something like Siam, only with the same 2x finish like Metallic Blue.  And an Jonquil opal --I''ve seen the Lemon aftermarket coating on white opal, but that isn't quite right, a REAL pale yellow opal would be perfect.

Of course, Swarovski is always working on new colors, and I am certain they go through intense research, not only on what CAN be made (it is all chemicals and fire after all) and what SHOULD be made due to demand and upcoming color trends.  But we are dreaming here, and in my dreams I have a Metallic Siam and a Jonquil opal!

Nice to see I'm not the only

Nice to see I'm not the only dreamer. Pleased to meet! Jacky, your idea is interesting, but I think they might ask me to order more than that. a hundred thousand or so...

Does anyone know if Chartreuse means Anise ? I'd love to find the same colour as the Delica opaque chartreuse luster from Miyuki in the Swarovski range, a white opal chartreuse... Anise sounds better though...

ah dwighting, you're right about the chemicals and the fire. It is amazing what man can do with sand and fire.

Any other people around here waiting for her (his) dream color?

I'm dreaming about two-color

I'm dreaming about two-color crystals Smile You know, like these glass rhinestones they made in the old days. For example a sapphire with a little amount of peridot in the center! Or light amethyst with ruby, or jonquil with peridot or sapphire with some ruby inside! Awwww.....

Also I like opal colors.

I've been looking for vintage swarovski colors and found green opal, iris, blue opal, apple green, cherry red, navy blue, yellow opal, cardinal. And then I've seen colors like morion, sun... How can I know if they are colours not surface finish? And if they are swarovski at all? For example some stones are called azalea? Is it possible to have a full list of swarovski colors and finishes throughout all times?

Vintage

Hi mdmB,

All the colors you listed are, indeed, "real" Swarovski colors - or at least, they "were". Most of them are long gone and very hard to come by!

Actually, I'm not sure about "Iris" - that's not one I've seen before. I have some "Black Iris" and "Jet Scarabee", but nothing called just plain ol' "Iris". That's not to say they didn't exist - just saying that *I* haven't seen any!

And all the colors you listed are actual colors, with the exception of Azalea - that's an "effect" (like Vitrail Medium - not a dyed surface finish) (in other words - it IS a permanent finish and will NOT rub off).

Mmmm. . . . fantasy colors. I'd love to see some real turquoise-y blue in a transparent. Deeper  in tone than Aquamarine, but brighter than Indicolite and Bluer than Blue Zircon.

Love the idea of the two-tones, too! I remember a few old "quartz" colors - swirled with white - but they didn't look so good in a small bead. I thought the effect was just kinda muddy, although I'm sure in an 8mm or larger, it would look a bit better.

But two-tones like Fire Opal?!?!? Oooooooooohhhhhhh . . . me like!!!!

Betcey

yes, more two-tone cristal would be nice

Sahara is one that I like very much. some firepolished beads look nice, and blend quite well, even in small beads. I suppose it can be done with cristal too.  I'd love to see a tourmaline cristal with  greens and pinks in it.

Yes...two tone

Tourmaline with green and pink...wow, that would be gorgeous.  I would love to see more of these types also, they would be great in blending from one color to the next!

Thanks, Betcey! This is a

Thanks, Betcey! This is a valuable info for me! I'm having trouble of making jewelry with that gorgeous Azalea - it's so beautiful I just start to stare it and get nothing done Laughing

I received unfoiled 19ss rhinestones in color IRIS (I've seen glass rhinestones in similar color called also RAINBOW) that was claimed to be swarovski. These are crystal clear stones with stripes of green, red and sapphire blue in them. I made a photo of the ones I have:
