- Description
This was another challenging necklace to make, and I'm absolutely ecstatic with the outcome. This is soooo beautiful. I drew the design of the flower first, and cut the shape out of copper foil sheet metal. Then each petal of the flower was made piece by piece and soldered together. The inner petal was cut out and soldered to the pieces. I then soldered the metal settings inside the frame of the petals and in the centre of the flower. The left hand flower was also cut out and stone settings were soldered in the centre the colours are caribbean blue opal & tanzanite, above this I soldered small settings around the rose oval crystal and surrounded it with olivine and tanzanite, above this is a flower of aquamarine with a fuchsia centre. The end has a flower of caribbean blue opal and peridot centre. The right side has a large flower of aurora borealis and a tanzanite centre, above this is a large turquoise howlite surrounded by peridot crystals and the back has a flower made of sapphire navettes & a golden shadow centre. The large flower has so many colours, sapphire, light rose, golden shadow, aquamarine, fuchsia, amethyst, rose, tanzanite, emerald, aurora borealis,clear, caribbean blue opal and olivine.
The necklace is gold plated, prong set and soldered by hand. The rings and back hook are also hand made. The flower pendant is 4 inches wide and 3 3/4 inches long. The necklace is 12 1/2 inches long with a long oval adjustable chain with a crystal pendant.
