Gluing flat backs to stainless steel

I have tried to glue flat back crystals to stainless steel using several types of glue. I thought I found the best with an epoxy glue but even that is proving to be unsuccessful sometimes. It seems that the glue becomes weak if it is exposed to heat.

Can anyone share with me the best type of glue to use for this application?

thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Best regards,

Vicky

glue

Hi Vicky,

What kind of Epoxy are you using? I'm surprised - I've always had good luck with 2-Part Epoxy.

One thing I've learned is that the longer-drying the glue is, the better - in other words, an "instant-dry" glue is far less effective than one that needs to sit overnight.

Hope that helps!
