Decoden and Swarovski

A few years ago, a super hot trend was born in Japan called Deco-Den

short for decorated denwa (telephone). It started out with a cell phone: crystals and pearls glued onto a phone case and now to the extreme of dimensional plastic pieces mixed with crystals, flowers, teddy bears, ribbons and crystal pendant pieces adding up to a pound or two of weight.

Trend shops and kiosks are set up all over Japan that sell the decoden type products and Crystals where you can eaither make your own or have one made for you... in areas like Harajuku, Tokyo, and other cities full of fun and curious generations of youngsters who love the look of shiny sparkling treasures as well as the cuteness that brings smiles.

This trend has now escalated into everything being "Super Glammed" out . From phone cases, to finger nails, cars, trinket boxes, furniture, cameras and the newest addition to the Glam look is girs will alter thier natural self to look like a european doll.

There are several magazines printed in Japan dedicated to Sparkle and DecoDen at first I found 3 or 4 titles and a few years later.... last I counted there were at least twice that.

And the answer is yes SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS is the favorite choice of sparkle

No, I did not bling out my car but I do have several  decoden Style phones in my collection.
