Crafting for a Cure

I was honoured to represent CREATE YOUR STYLE at the opening of Creating Breathing Space at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Kids. CREATE YOUR STYLE is a major sponsor for Crafting for a Cure.

Crafting for a Cure is a charity that through product donations, creates and supplies craft-kits that are currently used in Emergency rooms, clinic treatment rooms and operating waiting rooms.  These craft-kits are used as a fun creative distraction to help pass the time. They also supply other crafts, toys, DVD’s and teen appropriate gifts to the children in the hospital.  They donate these to the hospitals to be used as an incentive program for the children, example - if the child needs to brush their teeth, walk, eat their food or just smile.

Crafting for a Cure also held a week long fundraiser at the local Menchie's Frozen Yogurt. I was there to support Pam Bielak in raising money and awareness. I made oodles of earrings and rings as well as special pieces with Crystal Clay. Of course all the pieces had Swarovski Elements! For every piece that sold, Crafting for a Cure was given a generous portion of the proceeds.
