Sometimes I forget the beauty of the simple crystal color :) when I get lost in all the beautiful colors. So I made a necklace with only crystal, with swarovski stone, nothing more is needed, because it sparkles so much! Like a star!

This is a set of a necklace and earrings in gorgeous color of swarovski tanzanite. I tried to make a delicate frame around the stone using wire wrapping technique.

I got the idea and inspiration of the pendant from the Takako Samejima book "Bead Fantasies II". There was a similar beaded motif but since my stone setting didn't had the holes in every side I had to make changes.

This piece was shortlisted in the top 30 of the 2008 Crative Beading Design Awards. It came to me one afternoon, and I did not rest until it was made in the same afternoon! The colour scheme is based on autumn, namely the colours the Autumn Witch in a series I read as a child (Enchantica) wears. I thought they were an unusual yet striking combination, and so I have always liked this colour combination. Being autumn I surrounded the offset flower with red/orange leaves, as that is what I often associate with autumn, despite not living near any deciduous trees that turn orange!
